Let Me Italia…

Welcome to my blog!

This summer, I’m going to Italy for a month and I’ve decided to chronicle my trip here, so that I can share my experiences with all of you! On August 8th, I’ll be flying into Naples and traveling to the nearby city of Pollena Trocchia to work with the Apolline Project. I’ll be helping excavate ancient Roman ruins in the area near Mt. Vesuvius for two weeks. Then, during the next two weeks, I’ll be taking a class in Pernosano on Human Osteology.  I am so excited!!! I discovered a passion for Archaeology late in my undergraduate college career, and have always loved museums, and I’m hoping that this will be a fantastic experience and resume builder, like my time last year with the Maya Research Program, and this year volunteering at the Monroe County History Center.

I’m going to try and update regularly, so tune in if you’d like to follow my adventures!

    1. Thanks! Man, I can’t think of a full list right now, but for this trip…adaptor, tablet, and trowel are definately on there 🙂
